The Connect C1 has storage under the mattress. The whole platform lifts up on gas struts, like a car trunk. Inside there's room for extra bedding, luggage, winter clothes. Whatever you need to store but don't want visible.
Unlike drawer beds, you don't need clearance space beside the bed. The top lifts straight up. Works against walls, in corners, wherever. The gas struts do most of the lifting, so it's not heavy even when the storage is full.
From outside it looks like a regular platform bed. Nobody knows there's storage inside unless you show them. Useful in apartments where closet space is limited.
